One of the most visible aspects of life which metamorphosed dramatically is the social aspect of
life. The introduction of social networking platforms like facebook and twitter really changed the way an average Nigerian sees stuffs.
In this article i’m gonna outline a couple of these changes and if you’ll agree with me they’re on point.
1. The word ‘PUSSY’
Back when i was growing up the word pussy used to mean cats but now i cant really tell what one means when he/she uses the word pussy. I’m sure even cats nowadays will attack you if you call them pussy. lol
2. The word ‘WEED’
As a child growing up, i attended the distinguished Port Harcourt Primary School (P.H.P.S.) and during this period we were taught in Basic Science that WEEDS are unwanted plants in the farm that compete with food plants for soil nutrients.
But these days the word weed is one i no longer understand and i’m beginning to wonder whether or not i was deceived in primaryschool,
owing to the face that even when one searches for the word WEED on GOOGLE he/she sees something different from the traditional unwanted plants in agriculture.
3. The word ‘DICK’
I can remember vividly having a lesson uncle Dickson and we used to call him uncle DICK, lol sounds strange shey?? Yes it’s because these day the poor word DICK has turned into something else. Even those who go by the name DICKson will punch your mouth if you shorten their names to DICK.
hahaha it’s so funny how these poor words now have new meanings!
These are the few in this article, if you have some more please drop them in the comment box. Cheers!
