It is no news that Nigeria’s music scene and afrobeat genre is about one of the biggest exports to the world right now.
While there are giants in the aforementioned category, there are a couple of new generation artistes who are kicking it hard from the corner.
One of such new kids on the block is the versatile singer and rapper who goes by the name of Yung Doc!

Born on the 25th of May 1997, Paul Ferdinard better known as Yung Doc hails from Kogi state and was born in Rivers State, Nigeria.
Bred in the city of Port Harcourt, the young chap has made music with some veterans in the city, the likes of MAXI Kabiesi when he released his first ever single titled Wine Go Low in September 2012.
Yung Doc attended Lao Russell secondary school in Rivers State before proceeding to the University of Port Harcourt.
According to sources, Yung Doc comes from a pastoral family. Even though his mum is a general oversea of a ministry he still gets all the support he needs.
Yung doc started off as a rapper under the stage name, ‘2 sky as part of a rap group. He later moved on to songwriting and music producing which went largely uncredited. As a result of being uncredited, he released ”Tincolo in November 2012 featuring late J-Cin. Tincolo went viral in the city of Port Harcourt but Yung Doc later went MIA for years due to his educational pursuit.
The good news now is that, Yung Doc is back again and back for good this time with a new unreleased song tilted CHAKINCHAN.
